Don't Burn the Crayons!!

Where do all the crayons come from?? Over the past eight years we have accumulated pounds of crayons, and I don't think we have purchased a single stick of colored wax ourselves!! I decided it was time to do something fun with our tub of colors. So, we sorted out broken crayons and peeled the paper off them. We put them in mini muffin tins (lined with paper liners to make clean-up a snap) and baked them at 220 degrees for about 20 minutes. When they cooled, we had fun, chunky crayons, which the girls have already had fun with, and will also make fun gifts for the littlest colorers in our life!

Ready to bake
Halfway done!
"Mini" crayon chunks

And we did some in regular muffin tins, which will be great for the youngest friends!
