Snow Measurement

We are studying weather this month, and talking about precipitation. So, our most recent snowfall was perfect for a quick experiment. Matthew brought us 2 cups of fluffy snow in a measuring cup, and we allowed it to melt. We were amazed that it melted down to about 1/4 cup of water!!! Wow!
