Welcoming 2013

Most years we host a game night on New Year's Eve. It has become a tradition and this year we enjoyed the company of friends again. The food was so good, and the games were energetic. The kids all got along great and had fun. Here are a bunch of photos of our late night as we welcomed in 2013!!

It was so much fun and we don't know if we can wait another year to play games with good friends. We just might have to have some regular games nights. ; )

Eli was captivated with little Addie, calling her "Baby!" He wanted to give her hugs all night and share toys and books with her. Here he is with Emily sharing Dominos.

BANDU is a long-standing tradition. It is a game of strategy and balance, and always ends in a CRASH!!

Ashley reigns as 2012 New Year's Bandu Champion. Look at her skills!!

This game might be a new tradition, just because it makes for great photos! Emily got this game for her birthday and we have had lots of fun with it.

Phase 10 is always a lot of fun. This game proved to be a tough race to the finish, as two players finished on phase 10 and two players finished on phase 9.

Farkle is a new favorite. It is a dice game that challenges your level of risk-taking. Fun, fun game!!

I found these three playing in the shower. It appears that Eli is brushing his teeth and getting ready for bed. Lots of giggles from these three.

And, we ate the most unhealthy foods -- all night long. Gonna have to work it off!!

We had a great game of Skip-Bo that lasted until midnight.

Our youngest four crashed early. So sweet, this little cuddler!!

Emily hung on until the end, but she was pretty tired. I was glad to get some cuddle time with Emily at the end of the evening.
